Today, on National Wildland Firefighter Day, we at ITURRI America pay tribute to the brave men and women who risk their lives to protect our forests, communities, and natural resources from wildfires.
🙏This year, our hearts are especially heavy as we remember Battalion Chief Frank Harwood and Battalion Chief John Morrison, who were tragically killed in an ambush while responding to a wildfire near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, just days ago. Their courage, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice remind us of the dangers wildland firefighters face every day.
